Sunnydale is available for weddings, non-profit and corporate events, dances, birthday parties, fundraisers, etc. So, if you’re in the planning stages, remember that Sunnydale is an option! Rates vary depending on the hours rented, and there are also special rates for non-profit organizations.
The historic log cabin, built in the 1930s as a community gathering place, served many purposes early in its existence, hosting dinners, events like wedding receptions, proms, Rotary Club meetings, New Year’s Eve celebrations, and theater in-the-round performances. Lovingly restored in 2010 by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lane, the historic building was donated to Tryon Little Theater in the hopes it would continue to be used for some TLT activities and be available for community events.
Sunnydale is available on a first-come first-serve basis Monday-Sunday and must be reserved in advance. The fee includes use of chairs and tables plus the kitchen — which includes microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. All food must be catered in or prepared off-site.
A rental contract filled out and submitted with a $200 refundable security deposit and ½ of the rental fee (non-refundable) is required. (The kitchen appliances, outdoor beautification and the tables and chairs were purchased with funds received from the Polk County Community Foundation Discretionary Fund. The stairs, railings and closing costs were courtesy of a grant from the Bradley Community Benefit Grant managed through PCCF. Many thanks to these fantastic organizations!)
The daily Rental Fee Schedule is as follows:
|HOURS OF USE||501(c)3 GROUP||OTHER GROUP|
|5 hrs between 9am and 10pm, Mon - Sun||$250.00||$350.00|
|9am - midnight, Mon - Sun||$400.00||$550.00|
