Because of the coronavirus pandemic, Tryon Little Theater has canceled the summer youth show and our planned fall productions. We plan to begin staging shows again in early 2021.
TLT's 2019-2020 season opened in September 2019 with "The Book Club Play," written by Karen Zacarias and directed by Nancy Winker. The next show, performed in November 2019, was "The Humans," written by Stephen Karam and directed by Joel Perkin. "Bright Star," by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, was next, taking the stage in February 2020. It was directed by Dan Harvey, with musical direction by Ben Chumley. Unfortunately, the final show of the season, "The Cake," written by Bekah Brunstetter and directed by Catherine Gillet, had to be canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic. We hope to present that show in our 2020-2021 season, which we anticipate will begin in early 2021.
